Each bead is individually knotted (38 knots in total) creating pause, spacing and structural tension. Onyx brings density and depth; off-white silk introduces light and contrast. A single interruption in 925 sterling silver breaks the pattern, keeping the composition balanced and alive. The contrast is deliberate and the pause is intentional.
Finished with a 925 sterling silver spherical clasp, secured through a single, intentional gesture.
Each necklace is made to order, crafted entirely by hand in The Knot's atelier in London. Handmade in very small quantities. Natural variations in the stones are part of the piece and enrich its character. No two are exactly alike.

At THE KNOT, every necklace is a study in tension and structure. Unlike mass-produced jewellery, these pieces are hand-knotted using pure silk thread. This traditional technique involves tying a tiny, precise knot between every single bead.
Not only does this allow the necklace to drape beautifully against the body with a fluid, textile-like quality - but it also ensures the stones never rub against each other, preserving their natural polish for years to come. It is a slow, meditative process that ensures no two pieces are ever exactly the same.
