Recycled Silver & Pearl Jewellery | Introducing Merryn Milton

There’s something quietly special about discovering a maker whose work feels both timeless and entirely their own.

We’re so happy to welcome Merryn Milton to Couper et Coudre: a jeweller whose pieces carry a softness and strength that instantly drew us in.

Working from her studio in Sheffield, Merryn creates jewellery by hand using recycled precious metals, pearls and carefully selected stones.

Each piece is shaped through traditional silversmithing techniques, allowing subtle textures and small variations to emerge, details that give her work its quiet character.

There’s a simplicity to Merryn’s designs that feels very considered. Nothing feels overworked. Instead, her pieces sit somewhere between delicate and grounded: jewellery that can be worn every day, yet still feels special.

Her journey into jewellery began while studying at the British Academy of Jewellery, followed by time working in Hatton Garden before returning to Sheffield to focus on her own practice and a slower, more intentional way of making. That sense of pace. of allowing things to unfold naturally, feels present in her work.

At Couper et Coudre, we’re always drawn to makers who honour their materials and process, and Merryn’s approach reflects exactly that.

Her pieces feel honest, tactile and enduring - designed not just to be worn, but to become part of everyday life.
