Considered Low Waste Leather

Many bags are made from leather scraps sourced through Lucy's shared workshop, mixed into unique colour combinations, alongside leather from tanneries in Italy and Belgium.

English Heritage Craft

Lucy formally established her brand in 2022 to meet the growing demand for English heritage craft and low-impact, locally made production.

Lucy Welton is a designer and artisan of contemporary luxury handbags, working from her studio in Deptford, South East London, as part of the Cockpit Arts community. She has specialised in leather handbag design and production since 2012, having trained at Cordwainers College, London College of Fashion - a background that grounds her work in classic construction as much as craft.

Lucy formally established her own brand in 2022, in response to growing demand for English heritage craft and low-impact production. Her mission is simple: to make beautiful products, locally and consciously. Each hide is chosen for its quality and unique markings, then treated with natural oils and finishes to increase longevity - and many pieces are made using leather scraps from her shared workshop, giving each bag its own one-of-a-kind character.
